Floor\nmats make any commercial space safer. How about making your facility safer with\nsome floor mats in 2020?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Floor mats increase\ntraction.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When\nyou put down a floor mat on any hard floor, you immediately increase the\ntraction for foot traffic. Not enough traction is one of the major causes of\nslips, trips, and falls. According to the National Safety Council, over nine million<\/a> people visited an\nemergency room in 2016 from a slip, trip, or fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Floor mats remove\nand trap dirt, debris, and water from the soles of shoes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\nshould have entrance mats<\/a> at every\nentrance. The International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA<\/a>) estimates that\nas much as 80% of dirt can be removed from shoes if you use entrance mats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anti-fatigue mats\nmake employees feel better.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If\nyou have areas where employees are on their feet for long periods of time,\nanti-fatigue mats make the employees feel better by cutting down on joint wear\nand tear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If\nyou can help employees to feel better while doing their jobs, then you will, in\nturn, cut down on lost time and doctor appointments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mats can improve\nsafety everywhere in the facility.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\nmay have lots of areas that would benefit from mats: shower or locker rooms,\nexercise rooms, kitchen areas, or clean rooms, for example. All of these areas can\nbenefit from the increased traction that comes from mats.
