The\nfirst thing to consider is what type of flooring you\u2019re dealing with. Chair\nmats are divided into two broad categories: carpeted floors and uncarpeted\nfloors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once\nyou\u2019ve decided that, then you need to decide what size you need. There\u2019s no\nlimit to office desk configurations. Look carefully at how far the person will\nneed to move in any direction, and the mat should be larger than that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Err\non the side of getting a larger mat rather than a smaller mat. You do not want\nthe person going on and off the mat with the chair if you can avoid it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look\nat the shape needed for the mat. Will the person sit tight up against the desk?\nIf so, you need a piece of the mat to go under the desk. If not, then perhaps a\nsimple rectangular shape will do nicely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last,\nthere are mats with beveled edges. If there\u2019s any risk of going on or off the\nmat, then you may want beveled edges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
