There are several things you can do to make your stairs safer, and we\u2019re going to explore them with you.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Stair treads: <\/b>Stair treads<\/span><\/a> increase traction, which is your first line of defense. They channel away dirt and water and make every step safer. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    No matter what type of flooring you have, we have a stair tread that will work for it. We have stair treads in rubber, vinyl, and aluminum and several different types in each category. Depending on which you choose, they can be installed easily with adhesive or delivered to you with predrilled and countersunk holes for screws.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Vinyl stair treads<\/a><\/span> have an extra massive front edge to resist wear. They come in four colors, and we know that vinyl is extremely durable.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Extruded aluminum stair treads<\/span><\/a> are especially useful if you have a worn-out stairway that you can\u2019t afford to replace just yet. Aluminum treads will cover and make up for a multitude of sins.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The use of stair treads becomes even more critical if you are lacking in some of the other needed stairway safety features.<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Like good lighting. How can anyone walk safely up and down stairs if you can\u2019t see? Well, at least you\u2019ll have some traction on the stairs.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          But no matter what you do to increase your stair safety, stairs treads should be the first part of your action plan. They are inexpensive, easy to install, easy to clean, and they work.
