Hopefully, the worst of the winter weather and snow and ice are behind you now. Here are three simple ways to freshen up your office and say goodbye to winter.<\/p>\n

  1. Add entrance mats.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    You will significantly cut down on the dirt in your office if you trap it in a mat at the entrance. Many mats are designed to clean the soles of shoes and keep the dirt in the mat. Pick out something nice and prevent this dirt from making its way into your sacred space.<\/p>\n

    You could pick out a logo mat<\/a> to make a business or marketing statement or the mat could say or picture anything you like. How about your name? Or some art?<\/p>\n

    Or maybe you just want something plush<\/a> and classy. The ones we carry come in eight (8) different colors.<\/p>\n

    A mat at the entrance to your office will go a long way to keeping your office extra clean this year.<\/p>\n

    1. Deep clean.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Make an effort to dust the tops of furniture or bookcases or cabinets. Clean the corners. Get a step-stool and get rid of any cobwebs. Go through your drawers and throw out any junk lying around including old candy, bent paper clips, etc. Clean your windows if you have any.<\/p>\n

      Shred any paper that you don\u2019t need. Try to be better organized, and ask for help if you need it. You will be more productive if your office doesn\u2019t look like a pawn shop.<\/p>\n

      Don\u2019t forget to clean and disinfect your keyboard and telephone. There is a shocking amount of bacteria hanging out on your keyboard. In fact, your cell phone has 10 times more bacteria<\/a> than a toilet seat. Yeah. Gross. A damp cloth with some bleach will take care of that in a hurry. Talk to your IT people first if you\u2019re nervous.<\/p>\n

      1. Get some plants.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Remember hearing that plants clean the air? Well, they actually do<\/a>. Plants can make your work area look better, too. You can find hanging plants, bushy plants, tall towering plants, and plants for any type of light you have. There are even services that will furnish plants and take care of them for you.
